ISLANDERS REUNITED

I AM trying to find pictures and information about Newport Carnival of 1956.
My brother Les (the sing-er, born and bred on the Island) celebrates his 65th birthday this year and I wanted to give him a memento of the occasion where he played the first live gig of his wonderful music career.
He played in a skiffle band at the Church Litten football ground on the evening of carnival day.
Ideally. I would love a picture of that gig but anything from that year’s carnival, press reports, pictures or memories of it would be much appreciated.
