SOLENT Middle School became the first Island school to host the npower Climate Cops Academy, a new programme designed to teach youngsters how to become more energy efficient.
More than 100 children got involved in environment-saving activities and learnt simple ways to save energy in a bid to empower them to share their knowledge with their families.
“The Climate Cops Academy has taught the students about climate change and energy saving in a really fun, engaging way. They’ve learnt some simple ways to conserve energy that will make a big difference to the school, their homes and the environment,” said teacher, Rose Spence.
