JAZZ FESTIVAL GETS NEW SPONSOR

FERRY company Red Funnel has stepped in to help the IW International Jazz Festival.
The company will provide ferry travel for performers at the event, which is due to take place between April 11 and 13 in Ventnor.
“Without support the festival would be unlikely to continue, which would come as a great loss to many on the Island, including many businesses in Ventnor, which have already committed to this year’s event,” said a Red Funnel spokeswoman.
Former travel sponsors Wightlink pulled out over continuing concerns about the running of the jazz festival and the folk and blues festival, which are organised by the same team.
