Hallett Salter wedding
THE wedding of Andrew Graham Hallett and Claire Louise Salter took place at the Island’s only thatched church, St Agnes’s Church, in Freshwater Bay, in its centenary year.
The bridegroom, a self-employed builder, is the son of Mr and Mrs John Hallett, of Cherryside, Lake. The bride, an e-commerce/IT manager, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Frederick Salter, of Warden Road, Totland Bay.
The bride wore an ivory Thai silk dress with silk-edged veil and pearl and crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and freesia with rosemary and myrtle.
She was attended by Anthea Storrie, who wore a pale gold satin dress, and Emma Storrie, who wore an ivory satin dress with a pale gold sash. Both carried bouquets to match the bride’s.
In attendance as page boy was Ruben Chiverton (bridegroom’s nephew), who wore a charcoal lounge suit with ivory waistcoat and gold and ivory tie.
Scott Brown was best man and acting as ushers were Ian Salter (bride’s brother), Miles Salter-Sorensen (bride’s nephew) and Julius Salter-Sorensen (bride’s nephew).
The Rev Mark Whatson officiated.
A reception was held at the Royal Solent Yacht Club, in Yarmouth, followed by a honeymoon scuba-diving in the Red Sea.
