Styles Baty wedding
A COUPLE who met on a skiing holiday in 2004, Neil Styles and Claire Baty, were married at St Blasius’s Church, Shanklin.
The bridegroom, a planning officer for British Telecom, is the son of Mr and Mrs Cyril Styles, of Wickford, Essex. The bride, a midwife, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Derek Baty, of Luccombe Road, Shanklin.
The bride wore a full-length diamond white, crystal-encrusted dress, complete with veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses.
She was attended by Jacqueline Baty (bride’s sister) and Julie Brown, who wore dresses shipped from Thailand and carried bouquets of white roses.
Damian Hill was best man, with Ian Stevens and Paul Jackson acting as ushers.
Canon Melvyn Matthews, the bride’s great uncle, officiated, and family friend David Bridges was organist.
A reception was held at the Royal Hotel, Ventnor, followed by a honeymoon skiing in Austria.
The couple will live in Hadleigh, Essex.
