THE Island’s cricket season gets into full swing this weekend — if the rain holds off.
Weather forecasts do not look good for this first weekend of the Harwoods Renault IW League, Division 1 but if the rain clears, there will be five matches to savour tomorrow (Saturday).
Champions Shanklin, who were undefeated last season, begin their campaign away to Ryde Cavaliers, while Plessey face GKN at home.
Newly promoted Whitecroft face Northwood at home, while Westover Park host West Island. St Helens entertain Newport.
