Newport 0, Bridgwater Town 4
IN a disappointing match, Newport slipped to yet another home defeat against Bridgwater on Saturday.

For 42 minutes, Newport more than matched their mid-table opponents but then conceded twice in the last three minutes of the half and were never going to get back into it.
Although Bridgwater had more possession, Newport restricted the visitors to long-range shots that were comfortably dealt with by home keeper Sam Webb.
With it looking a goalless first half, Bridgwater broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute. A shot from Ben Kirk was brilliantly tipped round the post by Webb but, from the resulting corner, Chris YOUNG scored at the near post.
Then, right on half-time, Webb saved from Nat Pepperell but Mike MACKAY reacted quickest and slotted home the rebound.
Bridgwater had two great chances to extend their advantage but Young and Kirk both missed when in front of an empty net.
However, in the 72nd minute, the Somerset side made sure with a third from YOUNG and, with nine minutes left, substitute Kevin CHORLEY added a fourth for the visitors with a free header.
Newport: Webb, Bartlett, C. Lewis, Mann, Pilcher, D. Lewis, Powell, Zammitt, Morse, Saunders, Lilley. Subs: Stay, Payne, Tigwell, Squibb, Thomas.
