Sport/RidingAFTER getting second place with both her cob and hunter at the Royal International Horse Show, Whitwell-based rider Karen Ledger went on to score a hat-trick at the New Forest Show last week.
On Tuesday her hunter Noble Clover won the amateurs and the heavyweight hunter class.
Later she went on to take the reserve champion rosette. Then on Thursday, lightweight cob Howzat won the working cob class.
And there was an exciting end to the New Forest Show when Beaulieu Bandaide owned by Jackie Gallop and ridden by Jodie Bircham, reached the final of the Knighswood Challenge.
The competition, which is for registered New Forest ponies, is held in the main ring and they all jump against the clock with the top eight going forward to the next round to jump in a pairs relay with a professional.
Jodie and Beaulieu Bandiade were paired with Welsh rider Sian Price who has ridden for Great Britain.
They finished fourth and were then met in the collecting ring by Lady Belinda Montague who had bred Beaulieu Bandaide 11 years ago.
