You can now place your family announcement for the County Press newspaper and pay online. Click here

The deadline for Family Announcements is Wednesday at noon.

Costs:

A full-page advertisement costs £987 and a half page £494, excluding VAT.

Pre-paid classified advertising costs £5.59 for the minimum 1-15 words, with each additional word costing 36p. This prices includes VAT. To place a classified advert and pay online click here.

Births, marriages, deaths, in memory, thanks, engagement notices, etc, 1-15 words minimum charge £5.59, each additional word 36p. This prices include VAT. To place a family announcement and pay online click here.

Box numbers cost an additional £5.95 for lineage adverts, or an additional £2.35 for box adverts. Prices including VAT.

Deadlines:

Normal deadlines for the receipt of advertisements at head office, in Newport, are as follows:

Mondays: Run of paper displays, Village Talk notices.

Tuesdays - noon: Classified Property For Sale, Exchange Property, Overseas Property, Commercial Property, Property To Let and Wanted, Land.

Tuesdays - 4 pm: Meetings and Entertainments

Wednesdays - noon: All other classified advertisements, official notices, births, deaths, etc. Advertisements received after the above times will be held over until the following week unless we are otherwise instructed.

Advert submission deadlines are subject to change over public and bank holiday periods.

Electronic submissions to the County Press:

The County Press has produced specifications for contributors submitting files in electronic format for inclusion in the newspaper, eg advertisements, artwork, etc.
