| AMAZON WORLD Zoo Park's Animal Department is looking for an apprentice zoo keeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to learn with a variety of Taxa including ungulates, carnivores, primates, birds and reptiles. Zoo-keeping can be often very routine and can be physically demanding, hours vary seasonally and this position will involve attending a five day week including weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate must have a keen interest for animals and really want a qualification to propel them into a zoo career. You will receive direct training in the husbandry of our species and gain a relevant qualification whilst gaining practical experience at the same time. You will need to be enthusiastic, reliable and a good team player. Must be available to start middle of August. Closing date 03.08.2012.
