| The Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Commissioners Appointment of Harbour Commissioner The board of Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners is appointed on a staggered basis, over a three-year period, to ensure continuity. Applications are now being sought for some positions and successful candidates will be appointed in the first quarter of 2013. Applications are invited from candidates with financial skills, preferably a qualified accountant, and from candidates with commercial skills. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate ability and a proven track record in their chosen profession or other activities. Most importantly applicants should be able to demonstrate an independent and impartial approach to decision making. The role of Commissioner is unpaid, although reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
