From Mr S. and Mrs S. Freeman, Newport:
My WIFE and I were thinking of a nice walk down to Newtown Creek the other day.
We thought we would park in the National Trust car park (having been members for years), only to find someone had stolen the whole car park.
The car park had not only been fenced off, but had been dug up and grassed over. Another facility taken, not only for Islanders but holidaymakers.
Cars now have nowhere to turn around when they find this car park shut, yet the National Trust still advertises the car park on its information board.
