POLICE have renewed their appeal to help locate missing Ryde woman Joanna Orpin.

And they have included a new photograph of the 42-year-old which they are encouraging the public to share it via social media accounts.

Joanna was last seen at around 7am on Tuesday (Feb 13) at her home address in Ryde.

Police believe she then bought cigarettes and a lighter at 7.20am at the Premier Store on Marlborough Road in the town.

Her black Audi was found parked at Culver Down viewpoint car park yesterday morning at around 10am.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone, such as dog walkers, who may have seen her in the area of Culver Down between 7am and 10am.

Her family are growing increasingly concerned, as they have not heard from her since yesterday morning.

She is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build and has long blonde hair and brown eyes. She may be wearing a bright pink top and black leggings.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Heelan said: “I’d like to thank our colleagues from the coastguard, Hampshire Search and Rescue (HANTSAR), and our specialist teams including the marine unit, who have helped us to continue our searches at Culver Down today in wet and windy conditions.

“We will continue to extend our searches over the coming days if Joanna is not found.

“We remain concerned for her welfare and are providing support to her family at this time.

“If you saw Joanna yesterday morning in the Culver Down, Sandown, or Bembridge areas we need to hear from you as soon as possible. Please call us on 101 if you have any information which could help our enquiries”.
