A DIAMOND ring and other jewellery have been stolen from a house in St Helens.
Police are asking anyone who recognises the ring pictured to call 101, quoting the reference number 44170380648.
* The police confirmed that three other rings had been stolen - one set with three diamonds and two rubies, a gold band with three sapphires surrounded by diamonds, and a gold band with a heart of diamonds set with a turquoise stone in the centre.
The theft took place between September 25 and October 1.
Other items to be taken include a women's Omega watch and a Bulova men's watch, as well as some cufflinks.
The value of the jewellery is believed to be £20,000.
Police said it had huge sentimental value.
