SEVEN men working in Indian restaurants in Cowes were arrested by Immigration Enforcement officers last night (Thursday).
At Bahar Tandoori, on High Street, officers found four men - three Bangladeshi nationals and one Indian national - had no right to work in the UK.
Checks showed that three of the men, two aged 30 and one aged 47, had overstayed their visas. A 27 year old was also found to have entered the UK illegally.
At Saffron, also on High Street, officers discovered three Bangladeshi men, aged 28, 33, and 53, who had overstayed their visas.
The Home Office confirmed all seven men had been arrested and detained pending their removal from the UK.
