AN OVERTURNED Land Rover caused traffic chaos on The Downs Road this morning (Wednesday).
Police were called to the scene at 8.14am.
Frustrated drivers reported hundreds of cars backed end-to-end as traffic in both directions was diverted down the one-track lane Newport Shute.
The road has since been cleared, a police spokesperson said.
