ANOTHER landslip has taken place at East Cowes Esplanade.

The latest movement has seen at least 6,000 tonnes of earth crash on to the road overnight on Saturday and into Sunday morning, according to a local councillor.

The slip measures around 30ft long and follows an earlier movement in 2014 when a section of the esplanade was closed.

East Cowes councillor, Karl Love, warned people to stay away from the site of the landslip.

He said: "It goes right back into the woods. There are lots of dog walkers in the woods and they should keep clear because it is clearly dangerous and still moving."
