THE Isle of Wight's new Waste Recovery Park has created 50 jobs.

Amey, the firm behind the Forest Road site in Newport, is holding a recruitment day at Newclose Cricket Ground between 12pm and 6pm on Thursday, May 3. There is no need to book, just turn up with a copy of your CV.

Full time positions, which include maintenance staff, mechanical technicians, machinery operators, weighbridge operators, static crane drivers and electricians, will be filled over a phased period from the summer.

Although the plant will not be fully operational until 2019, full time staff will be needed as part of testing as construction enters the final phases.
