COASTGUARD teams from the Needles and Ventnor rescued a dog which became trapped 30ft down a cliff at Alum Bay this afternoon (Thursday).
They were alerted at 3.30pm after fears were raised that somebody was trapped on the cliff who turned-out to be the owner of the animal trying to rescue his pet.
The two teams hauled the dog to safety, re-uniting the dog with its owner at around 5.40pm.
