THE team from breakfast show This Morning stopped by the Isle of Wight — where they were entertained by the Medina Marching Band and enjoyed locally made ice cream from Plaza Ices.

Presenter Alison Hammond and the crew were filming at Nodes Point Holiday Park, St Helens, on Friday, May 4, advertising a competition to win a Parkdean Resorts holiday lodge, a new car and £30,000.

Plaza Ices' Gary Hall, who can usually be found at Isle of Wight events in one of his retro ice cream vans, was called to provide the refreshments.

He said: "They wanted it to have a summer feel, so we were there with the marching band. It was good fun, and a prefect day for ice cream."

The competition was run on This Morning and Loose Women.
