A CAR pull between Chale and Cowes in aid of the Joe Ellis Trust is taking place on Saturday.

The charity event starts at around 6am and is being organised by the Isle of Wight Round Table to help local children with cancer.

A variety of teams will be taking part including: Stag Lane Motors, Strianstall, Tackt-Isle Adventures, The Strong Room Gym, Ambulance Service, IW Rugby Football Club, Nigel Earley Tree Services, Spence Willard Estate Agents, The Sands Hotel and teams from Round Tables including Petersfield, Romsey, Portsmouth and Fareham, together with the La Rochelle Round Table in France.

The last leg will be pulled solely by Alexander Gadsden of the Petersfield team. Each of the teams are raising sponsorship for their particular stage.

Donations can be made on day as the car makes its journey northwards to Cowes or alternatively people can donate on behalf of the Great Car Pull, directly to the Joe Ellis Trust via their just giving page.
