YOUNGSTERS can now join in the go-karting fun as Wight Karting open their Kinder Karting Track.

At the track in Ryde, drivers must be eight years or over to get behind the wheel.

However, the new karts for the newly opened Sandown track are designed for a child to drive with the option of a parent accompanying them.

The driver must be more than 80cm tall to drive with an adult and at least one metre to race solo.

The speed of the karts are controlled by a trained marshal who also has a remote stop/start button at all times.

Owner of the family business, Cathy Foulkes, said: "Our fourth place on TripAdvisor is not taken for granted — we aim to keep on pleasing. Every year we have invested in a specific improvement or new service, responding to what our customers are saying."

Cathy said the safe and fun purpose of the track is to allow younger children the opportunity to join the family fun from the youngest age.

The track, which opened on May 12, is at 46 Fort Street, Sandown.

Prices at Kinder Karting are £4 per race or £10 for three races.
