BEMBRIDGE RNLI was called out to rescue a broken down RIB yesterday (Monday).
The station's Tamar all weather lifeboat was launched at around 5.10pm at the request of UK Coastguard, a spokesperson for Bembridge RNLI said.
The RIB had broken down in Whitecliff Bay and, having located the stricken vessel and decided that a local repair was not achievable, the lifeboat towed her to Bembridge Harbour.
By 7pm, the lifeboat was back at the boathouse.
