FAIRWEATHER Festival has announced new acts to join the line-up, following the cancellation of Shaggy yesterday (Tuesday).

Leading the announcement is British rap-sensation Professor Green, who headlined the event last year, with new music on the way, including a number of collaborations with his friend and Friday night headliner, Example.

A spokesperson for the festival said: "Professor Green loved the crowd at Fairweather Festival last year and was really keen at the idea of coming back with new music and a new show."

Also joining the line-up is Dappy, best known as one third of MOBO Award-winning trio N-Dubz.

Following a sell out UK tour earlier this year, Dappy is back, enjoying a successful solo career, which has seen him gain six top 40 singles including his latest, Oh My.

Festival organisers have also announced a new stage, The Den.

With a burst of flowing colour, surrounded in woodland and jumping with inflatables and atmosphere, The Den is the party, with a mixture of five genres of the world’s biggest and best electronic music.

Joining Nathan Dawe at the top of The Den’s line-up are garage heroes, Artful Dodger.

Artful Dodger boast two decades of hits including Movin’ Too Fast, Please Don’t Turn Me On and the chart topping collaboration with Craig David, Re-Rewind.

Representing the drum and bass genre will be Kings of The Rollers — a super-group consisting of Serum, Bladerunner, Voltage and MC Inja.

Also joining The Den line-up will be house music pioneers DJ SKT, Endor, SHAPES, Shaun Dean, DJ:CJ, MaxxTraxx and Battle of the Decks winner, Remy J.

This latest announcement follows the news that Shaggy will no longer be appearing at the event, due to taking a break from performing after his extensive world tour with Sting.

Founder and promoter, Callum Fairweather, said: "Although we’re heartbroken to announce Shaggy’s cancellation, we’re now very excited with our full line-up and hope that festival-goers will be too.

"We truly believe we have something for everyone and are excited to be bringing a fun, family-friendly event to Sandown once again."

Fairweather Festival takes place at Sandown Airport on Friday, August 31, and Saturday, September 1, raising money and awareness for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust.
