AN ISLE of Wight man has made the front page of the Worcester News today (Wednesday) due to his efforts to fund a Disneyland trip.

On Saturday, a three year old boy was deliberately targeted in an acid attack in Worcester and has been left with burns and injuries to his face and body.

Darren Street, of Ryde, is hoping to raise £10,000 to fund a holiday to Disney Land Orlando for the boy.

The 44-year-old, who runs a recruitment firm with his wife, Lisa, said: "This innocent boy was unnecessarily attacked by three men. He does not even understand hate or evil yet he was subjected to this horrific attack.

"I often to listen to Midlands’ news, because I used to live there. When I listened to what had happened I had tears in my eyes.

"Hopefully this child will not remember this horrific event — but even so I am sure he will be scarred.

"This will not heal the injuries he was deliberately inflicted but it will hopefully restore faith in this little boy that the world is not such a bad place and he can create some wonderful memories.

Darren has set up a justgiving page to try and raise £10,000 to fund the trip to Disneyland, Orlando.
