THE FESTIVAL Island is back in full swing today (Friday) for the second ever Fairweather Festival.

Organisers of this weekend’s Fairweather Festival have said the event is heading for its second consecutive sell out.

Those attending the family-friendly event this evening at the Isle of Wight Airport, Sandown, can see Fatman Scoop, Professor Green and Example & DJ Wire on the Mary Ellis stage, while Just Eden and DJ Skt will host in The Den.

It is expected 5,000 revellers will enjoy a weekend of music and fun, with highlights from FooR, Dappy, Rhythm of the 90s and Razorlight tomorrow (Saturday).

Founder and promoter Callum Fairweather said: “I don’t want to have to eat my words but the weather forecast is looking good for the weekend.

“We can’t wait to host another weekend of top music acts and welcome thousands of festivalgoers to raise awareness of mental health and the incredible work of the IW Youth Trust.”

Limited tickets will be available on the gate for £30 for a day and £50 for the weekend.

To guarantee entry, tickets can be purchased in advance from www.fairweatherfestival.co.uk or in person from The Gambling Man Barbers, Ryde, and The Party Shop, Shanklin.
