Two engines from Ryde Fire Station are at the scene after receiving the call at 5.05pm.

The spokesperson confirmed that police are also at the scene.

UPDATE: Ryde Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed on Twitter that the incident is thought to be malicious.

They said: "If so, this has put us in unnecessary risk and stops us from going to those in genuine need."
