THIS is Alfie, a short-haired Pomeranian.
Alfie is approximately two years old and is described as a lovely natured dog.
He has been living at Brackens Dog Rescue in Newport, Isle of Wight, since August and would love to find his forever home.
Kim, at Brackens, said "He was picked up as a stray in Southern Ireland, where if dogs are not collected from the pound within five days they are put down.
"Alfie is a fabulous little dog; he is good with people and with other dogs.
"Although he has not been cat tested he doesn't chase other animals.
"He also walks well on the lead and doesn't pull."
Kim described Alfie as always smiling.
