ONE of the men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a brutal assault in Sandown has been released with no further action.
The 31-year-old Sandown man was originally arrested in connection with an attack on a 49-year-old Isle of Wight man, who suffered serious head injuries following the assault.
It happened outside the Old Comical pub, at St John's Road, on September 17.
Another Sandown man, aged 24, was also arrested and was bailed until today (Tuesday).
He has been released but remains under police investigation.
