IT'S time to gear up for some frighteningly good fun for the half-term holidays.

For a Halloween 'spooktacular' families should go to Carisbrooke Castle where they can enjoy ‘Spooky Castle’ activities between October 20 and 28.

Meanwhile, at Osborne House all eyes will be on the skies when the skills and thrills of ‘Victorian Falconry’ are on display between October 23 and 25.

As Osborne House, gaze skywards in awe as hawks and falcons soar above Queen Victoria's seaside estate and step back in time with Raphael Historic Falconry.

Meet a Victorian hawker and some of nature's most majestic creatures as you discover the art of training, exercising and hunting with birds in the Victorian era.

Hear stories of how they were employed, learn about popular birds of prey in Victorian times, and enjoy expert demonstrations of our falconers' skills and techniques.

With falconry displays throughout the day and the entire estate of Osborne to explore, it's the perfect way to enjoy a memorable day out this autumn.

Spooky Castle activities take place from 10am – 4pm.
