BUDDING young storytellers could scoop tickets to see one of the Isle of Wight's most spectacular Christmas events - Enchanted Osborne.
The new attraction features an illuminated trail around the former royal residence, and takes place in the run up to Christmas, from Friday, December 15, to Saturday, December 23, from 4pm to 7pm.
Light effects, including 3D mapping technology, will bring Osborne's winter landscape to life each evening for visitors to enjoy.
Children can enter a storytelling competition to win family tickets to the event - and the best entry will win free family membership to English Heritage for one year.
Enchanted Osborne's illuminated trail is inspired by Victoria and Albert's nine children and the Victorian writers of children's fairytale classics. like Hans Christian Anderson, Beatrix Potter and Lewis Carroll.
The trail through Osborne's landscape weaves its way from page to page of a giant storybook, past huge thrones, flying fairies and silhouetted animals, through a tunnel bedecked with fairy lights and under tick-tocking clocks suspended from branches - making it a larger than life adventure.
