A SPECIAL field of remembrance will be open to the public again at Carisbrooke Castle.
It opens in November to commemorate those in the uniformed services who lost their lives in service of their country.
The field was introduced in the Princess Beatrice Garden at Carisbrooke Castle in 2010.
The castle will open its doors between 10am and 1pm on November 10, and between 10am and 4pm on November 12 and 13.
Crosses can be purchased at the castle, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
A formal service of remembrance, which the public can attend, will take place at the castle on Thursday, November 10 at 10.45am. Following the service, refreshments will be provided by the Isle of Wight Federation of Women’s Institutes.
