A DROP in session takes place today (Friday) to help people find out more about adoption on the Isle of Wight.
The event, which runs during National Adoption Week, takes place from 10am to 3pm at the County Hall reception in Newport.
Organisers are especially keen to chat to potential parents who can offer a home to sibling groups, older children aged four and over, and children with special needs.
Everyone is welcome to drop in, there's no need to book.
A family on the Island who have adopted said: "Adoption meant that we could complete our family. We had many failed fertility treatments and had decided not to do any more.
"The decision to adopt was easy, we knew that, unlike fertility treatments, no matter how long it took we would eventually get there.
"That positivity kept us going. We have had a very successful and positive experience with everything every step of the way.
"The adoption team were always there when we needed to ask any questions or needed support or reassurance. We have and do recommend the Isle of Wight adoption team for those wishing to adopt.
"Our birth son said he was super excited to adopt a little sibling, but when he found out he was going to have two he was overwhelmed and so happy. He still can't believe his luck."
