THE Isle of Wight Greens and Labour have chosen candidates to compete for the Central Wight seat on the Isle of Wight Council.
The Green's have put forward Daniel James for the county by-election in January.
Daniel is a Green Party parish councillor and community volunteer who runs a business developing software for international organisations and universities. He has lived in the West Wight for the last 18 years.
Labour's Simon Haytack has lived on the Island for 16 years and works in the hospitality industry. A lifelong Labour member and activist who has previously served on town and parish councils in the Ventnor area, the party said he would bring a fresh approach to County Hall with his energy and enthusiasm.
Steve Hastings has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Central Wight. He lives in Brighstone and serves as a Portsmouth councillor.
Nick Stuart has been put forward by the Lib Dems.
