FUNDRAISERS have thanked News Shopper readers who helped them swim the length of the English Channel.
Parents "crossed the Channel" in West Wickham pools on March 1, completing the 22-mile swim in two hours, 20 minutes.
About 20 keen swimmers completed 1,063 lengths of the pool to raise more than £1,000 for West Wickham and Hayes National Childbirth Trust.
A spokesman for the group said: "The most lengths swum was 150 and the least was 10 because we had reached our target unexpectedly early."
