AN injured woman was rescued after falling at Old Castle Point, in East Cowes, last night (Sunday). 
Cowes RNLI Lifeboat, the coastguard, and an ambulance were called to the scene at 8.50pm. 
It is thought the woman fell around 4pm and was found by a passerby some hours later. 
The lifeboat took her to the ambulance which was waiting nearby and she was taken to St Mary's Hospital. 
The extent of her injuries is not yet known.
* The woman was understood to have been undertaking a walk around England in aid of the Help for Heroes charity, according to Cowes RNLI Lifeboat. 
She suffered hip, neck, and back injuries, a lifeboat spokesperson said.
