THE Isle of Wight Festival is the second best in the UK when it comes to value for money, according to loan company Wonga.
The firm's latest study calculated how much people could save by comparing festival ticket prices against the cost of seeing the Saturday main stage acts on their own tours.
For the Isle of Wight Festival, the cost of a weekend ticket, per day, in 2017 was £65.84.
The combined average cost of concert tickets for the Saturday main stage bands would have been £275, meaning fans would save £209.96 if they bought a festival ticket to see all the acts in one place.
This year's festival saw the likes of David Guetta, Run DMC, Arcade Fire, and Rod Stewart take to the main stage.
Glastonbury came out on top in terms of value for money, with fans saving £224 by heading to the festival, compared to seeing each band individually.
The daily cost of the weekend ticket was £81, with the average ticket price of Saturday’s main stage bands totalling £305.
