WITH muscle men, giant robots, ventriloquists, and mountains of garlic, it's going to be a weird and wonderful weekend on the Isle of Wight. 
The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival makes its delicious return this weekend. With a curious mix of robots, extreme bike battles, falconry, and garlic, it's gearing up to be quite the spectacle. The festival site is located at the Fighting Cocks Crossing, near Newchurch and things kick off today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) at 10.30am. 
Get a taste of Victorian seaside fun with the traditional Punch and Judy show on the beach of Osborne House between 10am and 5pm all this weekend and beyond. 
Following the success of April's event, the LGBTQ+ night is making a return to 1st Floor, above Rocket Ronnie's Pool Hall, Newport. There will be games, rainbow drinks, and fancy dress from 7pm tonight (Saturday). 
Ventriloquist Steve Hewlett is bringing his UK tour, 30 Years of Talking to Myself, to Shanklin Theatre tonight at 7.30pm. 
It's going to be busy in Newport today (Saturday) with the summer fun day from 11am at the Victoria Recreation Ground, followed by the illuminated carnival which will be leaving Matalan at 9pm and heading through the town. 
If you've got a thirst for fun days but live in the West Wight, fret not because it's the Totland summer fete this afternoon (Saturday) at Abbeyfield from 1pm. 
Tomorrow (Sunday) presents a rare opportunity to see how strong the world's strongest man really is. There will be a talk and demonstration at Unit 9, Hurstake Road from 4pm.
