THE ISLE of Wight became a safe haven for celebrity fugitives on a TV show last night (Tuesday).

Celebrity Hunted tasked eight stars with evading capture for 14 days, while being tracked by a team of specialists.
Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing, along with Anneka Rice decided to head south to the Island to hide from the hunters.
Spencer and Jamie left central London, jumping in a helicopter heading towards Bembridge Harbour.
However, as they sat sipping champagne in celebration on a yacht, they were quickly tracked by the hunters and a chase ensued across the Solent.
Spencer and Jamie shook off the trackers, speeding safely into Portsmouth Harbour and continuing north.
Broadcaster Anneka Rice hitchhiked a lift on her way to the Island.
Celebrity Hunted continues next Tuesday.
