POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of burglary as he got off the Wightlink FastCat at Ryde Pier.
Police received a report in the early hours of Tuesday that a moble phone had been stolen at Ryde Pier Head.
The man, in his late 20s or early 30s, was seen on the ferry this afternoon and police were called.
A police spokesman said: "He had been sighted on the ferry and when he got off, we went to affect an arrest.
"He got off the FastCat at about 12.45pm and we made our arrest at about 1pm."
