POLICE investigating an armed robbery in St Helens have charged a 44-year-old man.
David Warner of Field Lane, St Helens, has been charged with one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place and one count of robbery in connection with this investigation.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday).
It follows a robbery at the St Helens Post Office and village store yesterday, in which £750 was stolen.
