GRASS cutting is to be doubled in many of Bromley's parks after residents bombarded the council with complaints.
A change of contractors in Mottingham and Chislehurst means the cutting frequencies in those areas will increase from 16 to 32 times a year in parks, and from 10 to 16 times on grass verges.
The new contracts, which begin next year, will be funded from the existing budget.
Council leader Councillor Michael Tickner, said: "During the summer of last year, there was a massive outcry because grass was left to grow at waist height in a number of parks.
"We had hundreds of complaints. Dogs were going into the long grass and getting lost, and children were getting dirty."
