April 23, 2001 15:03: FIREFIGHTERS with 20 years' service are to be honoured at a ceremony in Southwark today (Wednesday).
Twenty three firefighters from across London and north Kent will be awarded medals for long service and good conduct by the Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, Lieutenant Colonel Conrad Graham.
Among those receiving awards are: Michael Brown from Deptford; Edward Greenhead from East Greenwich; Paul Glenny from Forest Hill; Gary Pugh from Gravesend; John Edwards, Michael Scully and Terence Stockman from Sidcup; Kevin Welch from Erith; Roger Willmore from Lewisham; and Arthur Wilson from Bexleyheath.
Everyone honoured will also receive the British Fire Service Decoration by authority of the Royal Warrant.
