A NEWPORT man will appear in court tomorrow following an attempted truck theft last night (Thursday).
During the attempted theft, the truck collided with several parked vehicles.
Ben Cooney, 19, of Atkinson Drive, Newport has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage of £5000 or over, driving without a licence, drink driving, driving without insurance, and five counts of damage to property valued under £5000.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at the IW magistrates court tomorrow (Saturday October 14).
* The case was adjourned to the Isle of Wight Crown Court until November 10.
