FUN WALK: St Christopher's Hospice, in Sydenham, is holding a sponsored "fun walk". Held every two years, the trek will include routes of up to 12 miles around Keston Common and, it is hoped, will raise more than £150,000 for cancer care. POND PROBLEMS: To celebrate the International Year of Water, Bromley libraries will hold a range of events from April 22. MINI GAMES: A "mini games" will be held at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in April. FUNDRAISING: The Orpington branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution raised £4,734 during Lifeboat Week. The institution thanks Connex South Eastern, the Walnuts management, Marks and Spencer and Waitrose for allowing collections on their premises, and to all those who helped raise the money.

NAVAL GATHERING: The Chislehurst branch of the Royal Naval Association would be like to meet any ex-naval, fleet air arm or merchant navy personnel at its monthly meetings. The branch meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, except August and December, at the Royal British Legion Club, in Belmont Lane, Chislehurst, at 7.30pm.
