GREEN GUIDES: Guides in Green Street Green were given a £500 boost by the Bishop of Tonbridge for an environmental project. The grant, from the Conservation Foundation, will help pay for work by 1st Green Street Guides to transform disused land at St Mary's Church into a wildlife garden.

ABOUT A QUEEN: Bromley Council is marking the 400th anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth I with a talk on March 25. Laraine Burr, an expert on historical dress and portraits, will discuss the image built up around the queen. The talk, at Southborough Library, will be held from 10.30am to noon.
