A FIRE broke out on an Island line train at Ryde Pier Head this evening (Tuesday).
Fire crews from Ryde, Newport and Ventnor were called to the scene at 7.24pm after reports a train had caught on fire whilst in the station.
The fire was extinguished by rail staff, and an engineer was called to assess the damage.
No one was injured.
