A GROUP of friends taking a regular walk with their dogs at Mill Copse, Yarmouth, on Monday, were stunned to find the bird hide had been vandalised.
Heather White, of Freshwater, said: “We could not believe it, there was such a lot of damage.
“Whoever did it, left two empty vodka bottles behind. One of the bottles was found in the hide, the second one under the broken wooden panels.
“They also left behind a receipt for the vodka, which had been purchased from Sainsbury’s Local, Sandown, on Saturday at 3.32pm.
“Hopefully, there is some CCTV footage available to identify the vandals because they should spend some community time restoring the bird hide.”
The matter has been reported to the police.
