ALL CREATURESDO you like animals? Can you spare a few hours of your time? If so, why not become a volunteer.
Regular exercise and socialising are vitally important to the wellbeing of animals, and although the RSPCA has dedicated members of staff, they don’t always have enough time to give our residents the extra care they deserve.
If you would like to walk a dog, cuddle a cat, or just pet a rabbit, the RSPCA would love to hear from you. Maybe you would like to become more involved and get 'hands on’ with the animals, actually helping to feed and care for them. Interested? Ring and help make a real difference to the animals.
Fancy a bit of retail therapy? Come and help out in one of the new RSPCA charity shops across the Island. By sorting stock, stacking shelves, or working the tills you can help to raise money to keep the Godshill Animal Centre running. Who knows you may even discover that priceless antique that ensures our future for years to come.
Being self-supporting, effective fund raising is vital and the RSPCA needs volunteers not only to help organise fundraising events, but also to help out on the day itself. In particular, it would love to hear from anybody with fundraising ideas and the time and enthusiasm, to organise a fundraising team and help to turn those ideas into reality.
Finally, why not give the RSPCA the benefit of your experience by becoming one of its governing trustees, helping to ensure the future of animal welfare on the Island
Call the IW RSPCA on 01983 840287 and ask for Gemma, volunteer co-ordinator, whocanl give more information.
