Catering exhibition is a hit

Tom Smith, of Oil of Wight and Fuel Britannica, at the Medina Foodservice Catering Exhibition.

CATERING companies from across the country were on show at Medina Foodservice’s latest catering exhibition.

The exhibition at Newport Football Club last Tuesday featured stands from more than 50 of Medina Foodservice’s suppliers.

There were opportunities for people to taste products and learn more about the recently expanded company’s services.

It recently bought Island company Manor House Produce and is part of Stirling Supergroup, a national conglomerate of independent wholesalers.

Among the companies on show were Speciality Breads, Lamb Weston, the Island Lamb Company and Medina Meats.

"It went brilliantly, we had more people come through the door in one day this year, than over two days last year.

"Anyone who has been before comes back because they do not want to miss out. They know how much they can save and they can get to try the new products," said Medina Foodservice co-owner Steve Ross.
